Melissa L. Kleine is a registered patent attorney and associate at Andrus Intellectual Property Law. Melissa focuses her practice on domestic and international patent and trademark prosecution and enforcement. She counsels clients regarding patentability and infringement issues across a wide variety of mechanical and electromechanical technologies. Before joining Andrus, Melissa gained experience as a patent law clerk and patent associate at a large international law firm.


Education and Engineering Experience

Melissa earned her law degree from Marquette University Law School (J.D., cum laude). While at Marquette, Melissa was a member of the Marquette Law Review and the Pro Bono Honor Society.

Prior to attending law school, Melissa graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison (B.S.) with majors in engineering mechanics with astronautics and political science. She subsequently worked for several years as a mechanical design engineer for an avionics manufacturer.
